Rose of Isa continues that story. We opened because too many local families — Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Nepali, Filipino, and Pacific Islander — were travelling hours to Townsville or Cairns just to find the spices, rice, and frozen staples that make a house feel like home. We thought our community deserved better than that drive.
So we built a grocery store right here in Mount Isa, stocked with the real thing.
